The Subsidy Section at the Head Office is responsible for the implementation of the Gozitan resident scheme for workers and students who work or follow full time studies in Malta.
This section is also responsible for the implementation of the Gozitan Sportsperson Assistance Scheme for those who are part of a sport organisation in Malta.
Moreover, the Head Office also reimburses travel costs incurred by patients when travelling between the Maltese islands for cancer treatment, renal dialysis or for surgery. The subsidy will be provided to Gozitan resident patients and an accompanying adult and will cover travelling and accommodation costs.
Services
The Subsidy Section caters for three subsidy schemes: one for Gozo residents who work in Malta, one for Gozo residents who are studying in Malta and one for Malta residents studying in Gozo. It also receives applications from Gozo residents who are part of a sport organisation in Malta and travel to practise their sport.
Moreover, the Head Office also reimburses expenses to patients and accompanying adults for travelling and accommodation costs.
