The Cittadella Administration Office is responsible for the management and upkeep of Cittadella. The Office manages the Cittadella Visitors’ Centre, which offers an audio-visual interpretation experience to the visitors. The restoration and maintenance unit ensures that the place is maintained in the best possible manner throughout the year. This is done by carrying out continuous restoration work on the historic fabric of the site as well as maintaining all facilities and services in a good condition. The mission of this office is to conserve and restore this historic monument whilst offering visitors a unique experience.

Visitors’ Centre
Please note that from 2nd January 2022, the opening days & hours for the Cittadella Visitors’ Centre are as follows:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays - 10:00 to 16:30 hrs
Mondays and Thursdays Closed
Closed on 1st January, Good Friday and 24th, 25th, 31st December
All visits to the Cittadella Visitors' Centre will be conducted in strict adherence to Public Health directives & regulations related to Covid-19 which are currently in force.
From 17th January 2022, all visitors to the Cittadella Visitors' Center will be required to present a valid vaccine certificate.
Special Concessions
Free admission to the Cittadella Visitors’ Centre is given to students, senior citizens and accompanying persons participating in the HM (Heritage Malta) Passport Scheme.
Groups by Educational Institutions, Local Councils and registered NGO’s are granted free admission to the Cittadella Visitors’ Centre. These concessions do not apply to organizations with commercial interests.
